Vanterra is one venue with two jobs: an options exchange that never closes and a yield engine that never sleeps. Both rest on the same rule: every position is funded for its worst case the moment it opens.

1. Collateral is locked at entry#
Every position is collateralized for its maximum obligation when it opens. A written call is backed by the share. A written put is backed by strike × size in USDC. A long option is backed by the premium, paid up front. Because the worst case is funded, nobody ever needs to close your position for you. No liquidation price exists. Read the full collateral model.
2. Vaults write options for you#
Autopilot vaults run published strategies: covered calls, cash-secured puts and collars. The strategy engine picks strikes and expiries from rules published on-chain per vault. Parameters are fixed per epoch and visible before you deposit.
3. Premium is streamed, not paid in lumps#
When a vault sells an option, the premium arrives once. Vanterra releases it to depositors linearly, per second, over the life of that option. See premium streaming.
4. The chain prices every session#
Tokenized stocks trade on-chain around the clock, but the underlying exchange does not. Vanterra prices options in regular hours, pre-market, after-hours and weekends. Off-hours, the volatility surface widens to price in gap risk at the next open. See the 24/7 options chain.
5. Settlement is in USDC or in shares, in the same block#
Cash legs settle in USDC. Physically settled contracts deliver the tokenized share in the same block as exercise. Every open option is an NFT, so it can be moved before expiry. See settlement.
